Our children’s ministry team strives to partner with parents to teach children to love and serve God.  Our teaching team is comprised of talented, experienced teachers who love working with kids.

Parents are a child’s first and primary teacher. However, as a mother of three, I know I don’t always have all the answers.  I am so thankful to be part of a community that supports me in my efforts to teach my kids about Christ and His passionate love for them and their community.

On Sundays, all ages participate in singing and worship together in the main service.  Before Pastor Steve’s message, children are dismissed for Kids’ Church.  Our Kids’ Church format intentionally brings grades K-6 together for lessons.  In this setting, our older kids are given opportunities to practice leadership.  Often they are partnered with a younger buddy who they help with various activities throughout the lesson.

Your children are SAFE.  Anyone who supervises children at SVCC has been fingerprinted.  Additionally, there are always two unrelated adults working together as a teaching team.  Of course, parents are always welcome to sit in and observe.

Moses admonished the entire community with these words (not just parents)…  “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” (Deuteronomy 6:4-7)

At SVCC, we are committed to work together with families to teach children to love and serve God.
