An Old Saying Goes:
“Don’t do to others what you don’t want them to do to you.”
Restraining Evil or Unleashing Blessing?
We are content to simply keep the spill from spreading. But there is so much more to be done ...
The Real Problem: Neutrality
Jesus never called us to be neutral. The sum of the law and the prophets is not that we should keep from making the world worse, but that we should be proactive in making the world better.
How to Unleash Blessings
Ask “What do I want for myself?” — and then give that to somebody else.
When you are empty, fill someone’s cup.
When you are lonely, be someone’s friend.
When you are discouraged, encourage someone in need.
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”
This Should Be On the Warning Label:
“Blessings may not return immediately.” But they will return — that is a promise.
Are You Content … ?
To merely restrain evil? Or to remain neutral? Why not open the floodgates of blessing? Your world needs it — and don’t you need it too?
Let the River Flow
“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”
New King James Version (NKJV)
“Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”
