• Already, Not Yet

    Already

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
    (John 10.10)

    Not Yet

“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
    (Philippians 3.13-14)

“These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.”
    (Hebrews 11.13)

We have been granted full citizenship in a country that is rapidly approaching. As citizens, these prophecies are intended to inspire and ensure.

    Patience

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
    (2 Peter 3.9)

“And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”

    (Mark 13.13)

    Perseverance

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
    (2 Timothy 4.7-8)

    Praise

“Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice: ‘Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!’”
    (Revelation 5.11-12)

Our allegiance must be to Christ alone.

    Until Then…

“We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
    (2 Corinthians 5.8)

“Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed-- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
    (1 Corinthians 15.51-52)
